Nicknamed “Music City”, Nashville has long been a mecca for country music enthusiasts, record labels and artists. It has a booming tourism industry that offers many entertainment, dining and architectural attractions and it is also home to many colleges and universities.
A prominent part of the city’s tourism is its Civil War history. Popular attractions like the Grand Ole Opry, the longest running live radio show in the world, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum attract worldwide visitors. Just as charming as its high-brow entertainment are the honky-tonk bars and clubs, commonly found downtown in “the District”.
