Joshua Tree National Park is a U.S. National Park and U.S. National Monument in San Bernardino County in southeastern California. The park was coined for its Joshua trees, which are yuccas that have bunches of spiky leaves and grow in arid regions.
Hot and dry, the park is comprised of two deserts, the Mojave Desert and the Colorado Desert, and spans more than 1,000 square feet. Much of it is designated as wilderness area.
